Sensitive personal information

- 3rd party mailings - We may periodically send your mailing address and email to third-party vendors who work on our behalf to send you relevant AMT information.
- We may periodically send alerts pertaining to your certification or membership status using the email address which you have provided.
- We may periodically send alerts concerning federal or state legislation affecting your professional interests using the email address which you have provided.
- We may periodically send alerts pertaining to your local state society using the email address which you have provided.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes.
- We also use information to administer, maintain, and improve our website and services; to provide customer service; to troubleshoot; to help keep our website and systems secure; and to comply with applicable law and enforce our policies

- to protect the rights, property, or safety of AMT, our applicants/certificants/members, or others (including fraud prevention and security purposes); and/or

Legal basis for collecting and processing personal data
AMT's legal basis for collecting and using the personal data described in this Policy depends on the personal data we collect and the specific context in which we collect the information, and may include one or more of the following bases:
- AMT needs to perform a contract with you, including but not limited to
- Processing an application for certification or recertification;
- Making an online sale of educational materials or products (including REACH certificates), logo items, or other products or services offered by AMT;

- Processing your personal data is in AMT’s legitimate and lawful interests.

The data is used, for example, to monitor and analyze site use, improve its functions and more accurately choose content and graphic design, in order to meet visitors' expectations.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
